"There is something for Everyone to do, even if it's wear an Orange Shirt on Wednesdays!"

"Thank you for being part of the effort to spread the word, not the litter,"said spokesman Gary Chamberlain, "and (I) hope that everyone wears them every Wednesday to make a statement."

For individuals and businesses who would like join in on the effort of spreading the word, not litter and participate in the weekly "Make a Statement" day, contact NCLFC.  It's a day to show, "how we feel about litters impact on God’s creation."

Litter is currently everywhere. Educating the public, adults and students alike, about how detrimental it is to our environment is imperative. It requires being active not only in cleaning up, but also in researching ways to make less of an impact with our discarded  items and establishing environmental healthy practices, such as not using the ditch as a garbage can.

The North Carolina Litter-Free Coalition works diligently to bring awareness and solutions to a problem currently spiraling out of control.  For more information or finding out how you can be a part of the solution visit: North Carolina Litter-Free Coalition Facebook Page, or visit North Carolina Litter-Free Coalition section of Community News on BRMNews for the latest updates and coming events or contact:
