Is BRMNews really different?
Yes, and we hope you'll see the difference right away. If it's not quite clear yet, here's just a few ways we're going to bring you the news.
First, our focus is on local news in the Blue Ridge Mountains communities: events, fundraisers, news as well as working with businesses; to provide coverage often overlooked due to national and world news other medias cover.
Like every other business, we need advertising income or donations to keep the bills paid, but our focus is not on filling the pages with ads. We also encourage businesses to send us unexpected closings, grand openings, information on fundraising projects, special business and employee accomplishments as well as other similar happenings without having to pay for an ad or being a paid advertiser.
BRMNews hopes to inspire new generations of photographers and writers by publishing young talent. We hope to obtain sponsorships to offer prizes for contests to reward their efforts.

The public is also encouraged to submit ideas to BRMNews for coverage of their family reunions, mile marker birthdays and anniversaries, and unusual announcements. There will be times BRMNews will be unable to send staff to these events, but we'll do our best to cover your story. We believe they're important too!
