Sosebee, Fannin County Tax Commissioner is jailed after being arrested on forgery charges.

Shirley Sosebee, Fannin County Tax Commissioner was removed from her office late Thursday afternoon, March 5. Shortly after 4 pm, Sosebee was arrested on charges of Forgery and Violation of Oath of Office. Sosebee has since posted bail of $10,000 and has been released. Each charge was $5,000.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) was called in to conduct a formal investigation at the request of Fannin County Sheriff's Office. According to a complaint filed with the Sheriff's Office, a signature on a deed transfer title for a parcel of real estate appeared to be forged. An investigation followed, resulting in Sosebee's arrest.
