$23,346.45 for restroom renovations
Dirk Beaver is the owner of Beaver Home Improvement and the son of Councilwoman Sue Beaver who won re-election in November 2019.
Beaver is not a licensed home improvement business through the State of Georgia. He is known in the area as “all-around-handyman.”

Beaver Home Improvement was awarded the contract for the bathrooms without a bid being submitted to, reviewed, or approved by the City Council.
The company was paid $23,346.45 for renovations to the city's one-acre park restrooms. The work included no heat in the restrooms, removal of two urinals, capping off the pipes to the ones removed, replacing three doors ($3,000 worth with re-imbursement paid to Seabolt), a United States flag ($240 in which Mayor Seabolt is shown to have been reimbursed), new tiles, and painting the walls.

In addition to the bid not having been approved by the City Council, citizens are not happy the restrooms now have less equipment than before. Also of concern is the restrooms cannot be accessed during the winter months because there is no heat in them to keep the pipes from freezing.
